External Annotations Are not working on my video

External annotations can be disabled by YouTube if there's been a recent community or copyright strike. If that's not the case with your channel, you can verify that your associated website still shows as accurate under the Advanced option of your Channel Settings If the site shows there is correct, then you would need to verify that the html file that you are required to download still shows in the root directory of your associated website.

If you need to verify your associated website or upload the HTML for the first time, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your YouTube account.
2. Click on Video Manager.
3. Under Channel Settings, click on "Advanced"
4. Under "Associated Website" enter the URL of the website you would like to associate and download the html file.
5. Upload the file into the root folder of your website.
6. Verify under the "Associated Website" section.
